In this work I stuck up fifty 5cm x 8cm stickers in visible spots on Atlantic Road and Railton Road in Brixton. The stickers showed images that I had been collecting of these streets in the 70’s – 80’s while the area was a radically political area. I placed the stickers on bus stops, streetlamps and benches, not wanting to damage anyone’s personal property. I placed all of them close to where the photos were taken, looking in the same direction as the photographer. These site-specific works were an intervention, putting small reminders of the history back into the space.
